Our client is looking for a Qualified Financial Controller to join the head office finance team to cover maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Director the Financial Controller will oversee financial reporting, payroll, and treasury. You will manage a small team and ensure that policies and procedures are in line with HMRC requirements at all times. Responsibilities will include: production of the annual statutory accounts and tax packs; first point of contact for external audit and HMRC; managing the treasury team and cashflow projections; responsibility for all UK TAX including corporation Tax and VAT; Oversee the weekly and monthly payroll runs; ad hoc project work when required.
The ideal candidate will be qualified with relevant technical experience. You should have proven staff management skills and strong IT skills. Experience of SAP would be highly desirable.
This is a maternity cover role that is well planned for, so it would suit an individual who is coming to the end of a contract, but the client is comfortable waiting for a notice period to be completed.
